Released in 1986 for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), it is the first game in the Metroid series and introduced players to the character of Samus Aran, a bounty hunter on a mission to stop space pirates and the parasitic organisms known as Metroids.

Metroidvania isn’t just a genre; it’s an incredible journey of exploration. We definitely owe a lot to what these two games have contributed
