Borrowed this from Sherlock Holmes' The Adventure of the Engineer's Thumb. You needed this extra context to solve. The unconscious man was attacked after inspecting the pneumatic press and his thumb was cut off by a cleaver, not mushed in the press. Overall, not a super logical puzzle and a boring af denouement. Moving on lol https://warpcast.com/wake.eth/0x21968b04

very happy to hear that. holmes stories are short, but numerous, and they usually have a satisfying conclusion. especially once they reveal moriarti and his behind-the-scenes complications.
