mode, popsql, superset are the go-tos but they’re all sql native — for more excel-like functionality, you want tableau (esp for very small group / if sharing screenshots is good enough), or possibly power BI idk

the tricky thing about tableau is it doesn’t have a _great_ query interface — so workflow winds up being: a) use a sql tool to get the query and results you want, then b) paste the query into tableau to visualize it / process it further and c) go back to sql tool to update the query as needed

so: more frictional, esp. as you’re changing your query / iterating, but of course as a visualization tool tableau is excellent so the results can be worth it
