They had no appreciation for the benefit of editing nor a true understanding of what it means to write and to do so well." Yes! Few understand the value of good editing. Part of my job is persuading people it's needed.

P.S. Eventually I plan to use the @paragraph quote-highlight feature to collect a few quotes from this piece and respond to them. But first I need to figure out how I can set that up for readability and easy reference. Been thinking about this a lot lately and discussing it with @colin, so it's on my list for 2024.
