Replies are really just best as a discussion between two people. The friendship is truly the reward!

If anyone wants to add a third opinion, or ask for more input on the topic, they can quote cast to expand the conversation. At any point a new reply thread can form between two other ppl, and it continues on. Creates rivers of conversations.

Sort of weird, but also maybe will feel natural over time, like you said.

I've gotten in the habit of clicking back through every quoted cast to trace all the discussion-river-tributaries back to the original cast. 

Sometimes this takes me 4 or 5 threads back, and I've found some great discussions (and new people to follow!) that way that I probably never would've seen in my feed otherwise.
