I think Farcaster with its connection to crypto rails has a greater chance to make Kevin Kelly's 1,000 true fans thesis a reality.

On all the other networks you need to reach a massive scale before you can actually make any meaningful amount of money. Then you're constantly fighting to keep that attention.

It's not certain whether that model can be broken up with FC but I think it has a much greater chance than anything else out there.

Great point. If writers + artists are ever to escape those extractive models en masse, I think the FC ecosystem is our best hope.

It's also worth mentioning that even among creatives who do reach massive scale, there are still vanishingly few who actually make a decent living without completely burning themselves out.
