I created this project with arrows during a depressive episode last summer. I have bipolar disorder, specifically the type where I experience normal periods and depression, but never the manic highs typical of bipolar disorder. This project explores the human experience of moving between two extremes: boredom and suffering. Without the suffering of survival or life's practicalities, existential boredom sets in. When suffering begins, boredom disappears because there's no space left for introspection. Ultimately, I finished this project when I emerged from my depressive episode, although honestly, I'm not particularly fond of the photos anymore.
