Yup, no issues yet denying. Only issue is it seems to ask again daily…

Don't know why Apple doesn't treat these notifications like they do in the app store and give a less ambiguous response to the data being requested.
Assuming you choose "don't allow", is it still functional? 
In my experience, denying specific app permissions doesn't necessarily  break functionality
