Great writer. Walked the talk on social justice for decades. Self aware. An outstanding writer (I repeat) and thinker. Cool dude. You don't find many sports GOATS who also happen to be elite first-class intellects.

Bill Bradley (Senator, author, all around polymath) comes to mind though he was simply a great basketball player not one of the greatest of all time.
