2/6 In 2015, only 200 tokens were created, although only a hand full are tradable now and "Bitcoin on Ethereum" is one of them. We are so old👴that we pre-date the ERC-20 standard created by developer Fabian Vogelsteller.

3/6 As we can see on the first graph, the faster the bull market approaches, there is a trend of more and more tokens being deployed. In 2016, 1,500 tokens were deployed. In 2017, 35,000 tokens were deployed. In 2018, 100,000 tokens were deployed.

4/6 In 2019, around 60,000 tokens were deployed. In 2020, 90,000 tokens were deployed. In 2022 we surpass the number of tokens deployed of the previous bull market with 110,000. In 2023, we reach a record of 220,000 tokens created on ETH.

5/6 Interesting that we seem to reach a peak in token creation the year after all time highs (ATH) in ETH and BTC. ATH in price was 2017, ATH in token creation was 2018. ATH in price was 2021, ATH in token creation was 2022.
