Rome is one of the oldest cities in Europe, founded in 753. BC The birthday of the Eternal City falls on April 21 (the date of the mythical founding of Rome by Romulus and Remus). Every year on this date tourists from all over the world come to the Italian capital. Roman celebrations include fireworks, gladiator shows, fairs and tastings of Italian cuisine, and noisy parades in the city center. In addition, on this day many museums in Rome are open for free.
