I've been healed by my parents 10,000 times over. They made it so easy for me to become so many things: a farmer, a vet, a chef, someone who finds joy in housework, a truck driver, and even the child who'd proudly carry a basket to find the biggest pear on the tree. My mother would beam with pride, praising me for simply enjoying a good meal. Even now, at over 30 years old, nothing has really changed.
My mother can’t help but ask, “Was the drive smooth? Did you see your old classmates? Are you happy?” "Yes, all good!"
Tomorrow, I want to try riding an electric bike. I want to hug a piglet. And maybe, finally, I’ll open up that computer I’ve been ignoring for days. 0 reply
