WHY WE BUILT VIEW.ART

view.art is created by the team behind /bright-moments, an onchain art collective that works with generative & AI artists to create real-world experiences of their works. Starting in 2021, we began writing software to support our growing number of shows in Venice Beach.

As the industry grew, our demands for the viewing experience did too. If people were going to take onchain art seriously, it needed to be showcased with the same care that we have come to expect from museums. 

This led us to build systems that enabled people to interact with the art, something missing from traditional galleries. Instead of coming to a show to see work that had already been created, people attended our events to help create the art themselves via live minting.

For the first time, we're making the same technology used to power our exhibitions available to the public.

We believe that a tool like view.art is necessary to appreciate the onchain art that is being created every day.
