In the current Web3 ecosystem, the Matthew effect of resource allocation is becoming more and more obvious. Large projects and high-quality resources are almost monopolized by those leading institutions, especially those North American T0-level institutions with deep backgrounds and extensive connections. Small and medium-sized institutions can often only stare blankly at the sidelines. Without channels to contact the top circles, first-hand resources are out of reach. For example, big guys like A16Z and Paradigm have strong financial strength and can also provide market resources and partnerships. In the battle for high-quality projects, they are almost natural winners. In contrast, small and medium-sized institutions can only eat leftovers, and the scarcity of resources has greatly reduced their competitiveness.
