A reminder of the privacy concerns I had before. I ignored it before for the family connections I have on the app. But I’m being hypocritical advocating for privacy in web3 if I continue to use that app well aware of the blatant privacy issues.

Idk, I don't think they are mutually exclusive. I advocate for privacy in web3 as well, but still understand the perceived value of platforms like meta. Honestly, I'm happy to see them launch this, it's way ahead of the metaverse zuck was so focused on and introduces the fediverse/web3 concept better to normies imo.
