Almost 20 million Bitcoins have been mined in 14 years There are only 1 million BTC left to be mined, but the last Bitcoin will be mined only by 2140, as mathematically planned thanks to halving (dividing the reward in half every 4 years). 25-30% of all mined Bitcoins are lost forever. At the current rate, this is half a trillion dollars.
