He created the popular educational platform known as Khan Academy, which provides free educational videos for anyone to view. In 2004, Khan, a hedge fund analyst, began making math tutorials for his cousin. When friends and family also sought his tutoring, he transferred his tutorials to YouTube in 2006. The popularity of his educational videos on the video-sharing website prompted Khan to quit his Wall Street job and pursue Khan Academy full-time.
