hatprotocol is used via smartcontracts, which means this fid is held on a contract. which makes it very difficult to maintain, and very impossible to change settings without helpers

if you want to have a non-custodially shared fid, the only way to do that is with a smart contract as the owner of the fid

however, we're working on a new tool to manage a shared fid, should make this sort of thing a lot easier. would love to have you test it out when its ready!
