Once we build web3 products that actually solve people's problems (=make them time, money, entertainment) the real adoption will start. Most projects are infrastructure or experiments, a necessity step towards the bigger picture.

Smart contracts are first mentioned by the computer scientist Nick Szabo in 1994. Interesting to know: Nick also introduced the digital currency “Bit Gold” in 1998, solid ten years before the introduction of Bitcoin...

Smart Contract = self-executing contract (small program) written on blockchain The code is publicly distributed across a decentralized blockchain network and as a result not changeable. Smart Contracts can hold tokens + decide what to do with them.
