on new degen tips

the coolest moments in crypto always happened when a group of friends discovered a way to print money from thin air

bitcoin -> icos -> defi yield farming -> nfts -> memecoins + long tail of mechanisms like degen tipping

printing on degen tips was how most of us got hooked on farcaster

but degen tipping was never economically rational, always very exploitable and always very exploitable

the magic of it is that there is literally no right number or the right solution to make things grow — it's all organic, chaotic, irrational

this is why:
- if i was running degen i would optimize for as many tips, as valuable as possible, while being aware that some % of that may be farmed

- i trust @jacek witch his decisions and vision — he has always been a fantastic steward of the community. most crypto founders crash out after just 10% of shit jacek had to eat this year. and people like jacek make the irrational magic moments happen

Thanks, @woj.eth  🙏 At the peak, I could have cashed out $50M+, been on an island somewhere, and said “bye” Maybe I’m naive for not doing that, but that was never the point. There are investors and people who believe in DEGEN—and I believe in working for them, for the community, and of course for myself, to make this the best meme and community to ever exist.

Instead, I’m here, trying to buy the cheapest Toyota on the market (actually going with Renault since it’s cheaper) while working my ass off for a chunk of the community that’s out here posting pictures and reposting frames and thinking we casually drop $1M+ on them every month. We’re getting the house in order now, focusing on sustainable growth measured by real metrics. Most of the community is amazing, and I love you guys. Honestly, at these rates, there isn’t another token project out there giving as much supply back to their community as we still are. We’re cutting the fat, and this will make us much healthier overall.
