Common peach, or Peach, is a plant from the Almond subgenus of the Plum genus of the Rosaceae family. It is a cultigen that arose as a result of multiple introgressive hybridization between: Hansuan peach, amazing peach, David peach, common almond, Chinese plum, common apricot, cherry plum. Not found in the wild.
