The original Bitcoin logo featured a gold coin with the letters "BC" engraved on it. The design aimed to present Bitcoin as the digital equivalent of a traditional coin.

In February 2010, Satoshi Nakamoto introduced an updated logo. While retaining the gold coin theme, he replaced the letters "BC" with a stylized "B" containing two vertical lines, referencing the dollar symbol.

In November 2010, a Bitcointalk forum member using the pseudonym "bitboy" presented a new version of the logo. He removed the gold coin and replaced it with an orange circle featuring a white "B" tilted 14 degrees to the right, with two vertical lines. This design became the widely recognized symbol of Bitcoin.
