Coinbase may delist Tether USDT altogether! JAN 22, 2025 According to Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong, the exchange will delist Tether’s stablecoin USDT if new regulations require it. So far, Tether has faced obstacles from the EU’s MiCA regulations, but a similar effort in the US could seriously disrupt its operations. Armstrong predicts that stablecoins may be required to hold reserves in US Treasury bonds, which could affect Tether’s operations if legalized.
