Good evening food friends with a special recipe 🍗 :
Chicken Drumsticks in onion - tomato sauce
Ingredients:
• 6 chicken drumsticks
• 3 big onions, chopped in chunks
• 4 ripe tomatoes (not very big)
• 3 garlic cloves, minced
• 3 tbsp olive oil
• 1 tsp sweet paprika (added to the sauce)
• 1 tsp dried thyme
• Salt and black pepper, to taste
• Optional: White wine
Instructions:
1. Season the chicken: Season drumsticks with salt and pepper.
2. Sear the chicken: Heat olive oil in a pan and brown the drumsticks on all sides. Remove and set aside.
3. Prepare the sauce: In the same pan, sauté the onions and garlic until soft. Add tomatoes, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper. Stir well and simmer for 5 minutes.
4. Combine and bake: Place the chicken back into the sauce. Transfer to an oven dish (if needed) and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 40-45 minutes.
5. Serve: Enjoy with mashed potatoes, rice, or fresh bread.
