Seeing many folks here especially the new to the space, get confused between Farcaster (@farcaster) and Warpcast (@warpcast) so here is an ELI5 Farcaster and Warpcast are closely related but serve distinct roles within the decentralized social media ecosystem. Farcaster is a decentralized, blockchain-based protocol designed to enable social interactions like posting, commenting, and sharing content. It provides the underlying infrastructure and rules that power a censorship-resistant, user-controlled social network, built on Optimism, a Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum. Think of Farcaster as the foundation—a set of open-source tools and standards that developers can use to create social applications. Warpcast, on the other hand, is a specific application, or client, built on top of the Farcaster protocol. It’s the most prominent and user-friendly way to interact with Farcaster, offering an interface similar to traditional social media platforms like Twitter (or X), but with decentralized features.

For those of you who are wondering why $ETH is not revving up this month The Ethereum Foundation sold 300 ETH, worth about $760,000, at an average price of $2,543 today. Since the beginning of September 2024, the Ethereum Foundation has sold 950 ETH ($2.27 million) at an average price of $2,392, with a sale every 4-7 days.

In light of the progress on inflation and the balance of risks, the US #FED Reserve Committee decided to lower the target range for the federal funds rate by 1/2 percentage point to 4-3/4 to 5 percent. As per a Reddit post, #MtGox’s Kraken #BTC  and #BCH payment API interface shows “payment in preparation”, created on May 13, 2024. Speculations that #MtGox will distribute its holdings of 142,000 #BTC , 143,000 #BCH and 69 billion yen to creditors before October 31, 2024.

🇭🇰 Hong Kong spot #Bitcoin  & #ETH ETFs will begin trading on this April 30th One key difference compared to US ETFs is that “in-kind” creation and redemption mechanism will be in Hong kong whereas “in-cash”type in the US at the moment.
