Almost nobody wanted to come to ETH Latam in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. Everyone was afraid about a “dangerous” city, doubts about the size of the local community, impact, etc. We stood firm in the choice of the venue because the geographic decentralization of the ETH events is also key to onboard new people.
