if you: >took apart your toys as a kid >were the “bad kid” in school simply because you needed rationale for learning something & wouldn’t just memorize it >scared your parents by bringing up existential questions as a toddler >hijacked & modified all your dad’s electronics >had an obsessive interest in the nature of things (physics, philosophy & history) from a young age >wore headphones in the halls of high school in between classes >played on an eSports team with college kids when you were in middle school >watched PBS Nova over cartoons >changed your major 3+ times in college & successfully cheated your way thru w/o getting caught >were discussing tech, politics or philosophy at parties instead of talking to girls >starting making money before you were of legal age to even do so (lemonade stands, car wish, snow shoveling) >always found ways to be more efficient >have a weird, yet insanely organized peculiar collection of ~anything~ LET ME SAVE YOU SOME TIME: START A COMPANY

oh boy >be me >be 8 >be a bit neurodivergent >forced to go to sunday school >no one can tell me why; “just what u do” >go to class >man tells me there’s a magical man in sky watching me at all times (even when showering; i asked) & that if i sin i’ll be condemned to a fiery hell for all eternity >i take it literally; panic & freak out >get sent home; told to recite prayers >i go home >read entire bible; old & new >come back with 100+ questions >man cant answer my questions; says faith >i freak out again & rip my bible up >get sent home again >priest tells mom i’m “mentally challenged” >mom cries bad bad times in my life lol & i didn’t understand why any of it was happening 500 $DEGEN

BRUTAL ironically if they knew their own intellectual tradition they could have easily just given me something like Thomas Aquinas and it probably would have kept me busy, but god forbid you try and meet the kids where they are instead of just having them recite dogma and make paper boats to float animals on
