FC is a more thoughtful and intelligent place for creators, seekers, and digital wanderers looking for an online oasis where the discourse is different from other social community groups. @dwr.eth has done an amazing job of creating and maintaining the mood here. You can focus all you want on the technology and algorithms, but the atmosphere of a social platform ultimately defines it. We all have an idea of the mood on Reddit, Tik Tok, 4chan, and Facebook. If I asked you to define the vibes on these platforms, you could easily do it. You care about that first before the technology behind it. Dan has fostered a great community and has made sure that the mood stays here. That’s more important than any technical change he could make to the site.
