In recent days, the cryptocurrency market witnessed one of its worst falls in recent history. Bitcoin fell below $50,000 from $66,000 and is currently trading in the $53,000 range. This shows a decrease of 12% in one day and 24% in one week. Bitcoin's market cap has dropped to $1.05 trillion. Altcoins are even worse, with Ethereum down 20% and now hovering around $2,300. Other currencies such as Binance Coin, Solana, Ripple and Dogecoin have also experienced a double-digit decline. In total, $500 billion of the total cryptocurrency market cap has been wiped out since Friday, with the total market cap falling below $2 trillion for the first time in six months. 16 replies
