President Donald Trump stated that he plans to take a lenient approach with the upcoming tariffs, meaning he will impose lower rates than what other countries impose on U.S. exports. 

He warned Europe 🇪🇺 and Canada 🇨🇦 not to challenge his leniency or threaten retaliation with additional tariffs, as if Europe and Canada cooperate to counter U.S. tariffs, he will impose "much larger" tariffs on both. 

"If the European Union collaborates with Canada to harm the U.S. economy, then large-scale tariffs, much larger than the current plan, will be imposed on both to protect the best ally that these two countries have ever had!"
