Quick checklist for you 👇 After 2 years of producing The Metaverse Podcast and now marketing the Searching for Mana podcast, here are my tips for guests to make sure the episodes are of the highest quality. 1. Internet and equipment ↳ Have strong and stable internet connection ↳ Make sure all your equipment (mic, camera, headphones) is charged and functional ↳ Test your audio & video at least 10 min before the recording 2. Pre-recording setup ↳ Have a glass of water nearby ↳ Be online at least 5 min before the recording time ↳ Close any other programs running in the background to boost your computer's processor ↳ Notify people around you that you are recording (continued...)

Environment ↳ Choose a quiet, well-insulated space for recording ↳ Ensure there are no light sources behind you ↳ Use lighting with the source in front of you, not behind ↳ Close curtains if natural light causes glare/shadows 4. Camera and appearance ↳ Clean your laptop camera lens ↳ Position the camera at eye level. ↳ Look directly into the camera whenever possible. During recording ↳ Stay seated in a stable position; avoid shifting ↳ Keep your head centered in the video frame ↳ Mute yourself when not speaking ↳ If you reconsider an answer or want to rephrase, let the host know. You can most likely redo the question. ↳ If you hear unexpected background noise on your end (siren, doorbell), pause, remain silent for a few seconds to allow for easy editing, and resume once back to normal 6. Post-recording ↳ After the host has stopped recording, please stay online and wait for instructions. Some recording platforms need you to stay online until your files are fully uploaded. ↳ Don’t guest and drop, make sure you put effort into promoting the episode on your socials once live.
