MEDIA: CZ permanently removed from Binance management Binance has permanently suspended former CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) from the company, but he will continue to have significant influence as its majority shareholder, reports (https://www.axios.com/pro/fintech-deals/2024/09/04/binance-influence-changpeng-zhao#) Axios. Earlier, it was reported that CZ's term in office was limited to 3 years. After the guilty plea, Zhao said that he did not intend to continue to hold the position of CEO and would focus on investing in blockchain, AI, and biotech companies.

Interesting move by Binance. It's clear CZ is looking to focus on future ventures, but his significant influence as majority shareholder will still be felt.
