Ghost in the Shell.

Strange one, never liked anime as a kid. Then The Matrix came out, so was "forced" to watch Ghost in the Shell. That got me hooked on anime.

Actually found it very stimulating. Dystopian sci-fi is definitely my jam. I wish someone would do an anime vased on one of Isaac Asimov's creations. Plenty of movies, but no anime so far. His writing lends itself very well for it.
