š¬ The film depicts the four sons of the Ryan family who fought on the front line after the Normandy landings. Except for their youngest son, Private James Ryan, who belonged to the 101st Airborne Division, whose whereabouts are still unknown, the other three sons have all died in battle in various places within two weeks. After General Marshall, the Chief of Staff of the United States Army, learned of this matter, out of humanitarian considerations, he ordered an 8-member team to be organized on the front line to search for the uncertain life and death of Private James Ryan in the midst of a sea of people and gunfire, and safely send him back to the rear. 0 reply
