I've spent a lot of time over the years desperately trying to think of a "thing" to change the world. I now know why the search was fruitless — things don't change the world. People change the world by using things. The focus must be on the "using", not the "thing"...->

Like, we have solar, wind, breeding nuclear but still a bunch of countries are pushing for funding fossil industry. We have trains, some can reach 400-500km/h and still (+- except Japan/Switzerland/Netherlands) most of our transport is focused on car rides...

...We have vaccines for terrible diseases, but still some of them are not fully eradicated. We have all the tech to either burn or recycle our waste (Sweeden, Switzerland, Japan) and still, big chunk of countries that don't have (or super limited) both waste separation & burning facilities, having open-air landfills

...Now that I'm looking through the right end of the binoculars, I can see a lot more clearly, and there are projects and possibilities that genuinely interest me deeply.

Such an interesting perspective. We as humanity already have so much tech, we could solve most of our problems but progress is slow
