Nice! My only feedback is that permissions requirements might be weird for normal users, approving GitHub / sending dictionaries etc.

Totally agree. Unfortunately this was the least sketch way I found of including some update functionality, so I can keep everyone on the latest version

I'd say it makes sense for the initial iterations. People that currently make up FC shouldn't be as put off by this. But over time, I agree @maxp.eth will want to smoothen out the permissions UX for "normal" users.
