Today, July 4, the Chinese official media published a list of hybrid and all-electric vehicles approved for purchase by regional authorities for official fleets. According to Reuters, this is the first time a Tesla car has been included in this list. We are talking about the mid-size crossover Tesla Model Y. Regional officials were also allowed to purchase the Volvo XC-40 model from foreign brands. The rest of the models on today's list are from Chinese brands. Tesla Model Ys sold in China are manufactured at Tesla's Shanghai plant. Swedish Volvo Cars is owned by the Chinese automaker Zhejiang Geely Holding Group. Recently, Tesla sales in China have been declining amid increased competition from Chinese manufacturers. Because of this, the American company has already had to reduce selling prices several times. Have a good day😉
