He officially divorced his wife six months ago and lives in a rented house. Openly said that he wants a relationship, but he has nothing to give me. And he doesn't want to be useless.
I offered him a bunch of options - I work a lot, I'm rarely home. I don't need money, but I often need help around the house and with my parents. Nothing impossible - to drive, to bring, to buy food, to clean. The answer is rejection and contempt. A year tightly communicated with the man and he practically cut off contact after this conversation. I guess I should have jumped into bed with him and sang that I didn't need anything from him.
