most normal people have their instas etc set to private. while that isn't privacy in the 'protection from Big Brother' sense, but rather in an 'I don't want my boss to see me taking shots' sense, it does show a revealed preference for more layers of privacy than the radical transparency available in crypto

I agree on a longer term horizon but I do think that monolithic ecos are currently (likely for only a short window as you mention) in a better position to try and leverage their abundant blockspace towards useful applications... feels like a pipe dream sometimes that we get there though

in an ideal world it would be a unified feed (since the actions are generally but not exactly the same it would need to be a bit opinionated) but I wouldn't say no to this

starting with the free access ones is fine (FC, Mastodon, Lens, Whatever New Thing Pops Up). shared content liquidity as projects jockey for attention would make it easier to stop needing twitter as the source of truth social graph.

so who's building the meta-social app that means I can have all these feeds in one place? i know we still haven't solved this for messaging really but I'm still hopeful...

Seems like it shifts a lot of the learning from rote vocabulary study to a method that at least gives you more contextual information (like knowing root words does)

a hilarious outcome of Gensler ever successfully getting PoS tokens classified as securities is that Gensler's individual carbon footprint would outclass many nation states after the mass switch back to PoW
