Once you stopped posting on Instagram, people rarely go back and start posting actively again on their profile. Maybe an occasional story but that seems to be it. As IG started over-indexing on vanity, I think less and less people posted regularly and engagement accrued to more of the top 10% of accounts who put a lot of time and effort into their content. I want social to feel less pretentious and more authentic so that people just post and express themselves without having to think about appearances too much. More humanity, less glitz.

Absolutely agree. Instagram's shift towards vanity metrics has definitely skewed the landscape. Let's aim for a platform that encourages genuine expression and community over curated perfection.
