Blockchain scalability is a hot topic. Layer 1 solutions like Ethereum 2.0 aim to enhance network capacity directly. Layer 2 solutions, such as rollups and state channels, offload transactions to sidechains. Each has tradeoffs: L1 offers security but faces upgrade complexity; L2 boosts speed and reduces fees but introduces trust in off-chain entities. Which will dominate? The future is exciting!
