Until they open source their hardware, it's a non-starter for me. You can use all the zk proofs in the world, but if the enclave you're using to generate them is proprietary, the entire system is potentially compromised.

Apologies for being critical, but it's a little disingenuous to say yes the hardware is open source when the readme has a section called "What's not included: tamper detection system." I understand why this is the case, but it's still not truly open source yet. Still. I'm glad this is trending towards being more open.

No worries. Of course we don’t want to include schematics of all security mechanisms in the Orb, that’s unlikely to change. But it should become less important over time as other hardware becomes available.
