Going to give sci-fi my first shot. (I don’t think I’ve ever read one before)

What recs do people have?

I learned a long time ago that sci-fi books really only work for me if I listen to them as audio books, otherwise I tend to get bored while reading. Ymmv, but something to keep in mind if you find yourself dozing of while reading

Interested in ZK, FHE, PUFs, hardware, system design, ai safety, and smart contact security.

Found myself in this exact scenario last nigh. the intro felt boring. I also vary reading a lot. Which doesn’t help the flow when author is going for one style and I’m going another. 

When I find too many diffs I move one. Audio was my preferred method for a while, may have to try. Tks.
