I love baking this cake! “At Tribes, we believe that so-called “web3 social” products will feel familiar yet full of small, magical moments that crypto tech makes possible. Social is the cake, and web3 is the icing.” https://warpcast.com/tribes/0x1adaed

UXR in web3 is interesting because you have a wider view of participants' actions across apps/etc. (via public transactions) to inform your questions and learnings. Related: want $100 to talk web3 for an hour? https://warpcast.com/tribes/0x57b098

When I was new to product design it seemed smart to copy big apps' solutions — after all, they're big, they test, so they must know what's best, right? Not as often as you'd think. What outsiders see as "best practices" are often insiders' "mistakes we can't unmake".

small team, two choices: 1. do more, worse 2. do less, better (tbh both can work — just be intentional!)

what if you could literally invest in friendships, like each person in your friend group puts $10/week (coffee money) into a shared account, with the understanding that you'll spend it together (on a meal, a trip, a shared experience or good)

Stake to Meet Meetings that start late, or no-show, are a huge waste of time. Context-switching hell. What if both participants had to stake (as collateral) $$$ to schedule? Forfeit your funds if (e.g.) you don't show (on time) and your counterpart doesn't approve your excuse.
