why do you think people newer to collecting art have a hard time discovering new to them artists and artist driven experiences? is it a time constraint thing? is it shaky confidence that comes with discovering and evolving their taste? budget constraints? other?

paradox of choice is a good point! constrained discovery experiences might help ease any anxiety or stress people might have when their in the collecting mood. 

I’d value secondary market experiences that feel like being at your favourite record store, comic shop, thrift shop, or similar boutique place

After I got over imposter syndrome (same as “shaky confidence”?) it’s budget constraints. Holy moly I’d buy so much art if I had more money! Well, I say that, but there’s a lot of great work out there that’s well within my budget. I guess it’s also a time constraint plus paradox of choice thing.
