Great to see stablecoin payments starting to really hit in Singapore! Back in Feb 2018, I ran a @consensys project doing a pilot program for Ethereum-based payments and land titles (NFTs) with the Singapore government. @ethereumjoseph rarely gets the credit he deserves for introducing Ethereum to the most innovative govs and largest companies in the world back then. There's an alternative timeline where crypto (BTC+ETH+all) is only used as a silk road / dark web technology but Joe's push during Ethereum's early days has allowed all of us to pursue a much bigger vision of rewiring the financial system for the internet age. We'd pitch a beautiful blockchain vision to anyone that'd listen back then and were able to get into some pretty important rooms. 🙂 80%+ of those "art of the possible" ideas have now played out including this year with prediction markets and memecoins (tokenized culture). Pretty incredible how far we've come and how far is left to go. 🫡
