Strong opinion, loosely held Farcaster is much smaller in terms of users, but has a much higher “GDP per capita” as a result of 1) every user must have a working cryptocurrency wallet under the hood 2) nearly everything on the network is programmable 3) APIs are permissionless and in most case decentralized.

Indeed. ARPU is higher with crypto so total size is less important (for ads) than engaging apps for users to easily interact with.
