First time dad-to-be and ETA is T-minus ~two weeks. FC parents - what are you glad you knew / wish you knew a few weeks out?

* Life will be lived in 3hr feed/sleep cycles for the 1st month or two * Use pet pee pads for your changing table and diaper bag for easy cleanup * Get a velco swaddle, much easier * 1st 6mos baby bonds more with mom. Mos 6-12 are for dad when they interact. Don't feel bad if you don't feel an immediate emotional change after birth (mom will), it'll come with time * Listen to podcasts while cleaning endless bottles * Invest in a really good stroller (uppababy, tumi for jogger) * If kid sleeps decently well, you'll have more free time than you think. Binge some good shows and go for hot-tribeca-mom bassinet walks * Babies are sturdier than you think, don't stress yourself out
