Staking is common in crypto. 
Imo, Degen should leverage the SocialFi elements that built its strong community. How can we take a typical feature like staking, present in over 70% of projects, and integrate it into SocialFi?

One idea is to provide access to gated channels with DAO-like advantages. We need to keep improving the innovation in Farcaster to strengthen our community bonds. We already have @hypersub (@nonlinear.eth) as a potential infrastructure for gated channels. By adding staking as an additional requirement, we could create various channels with staking thresholds to unlock powers or perks, all related to DEGEN.

Integration with Farcaster is a big advantage for DEGEN. Gated channel, identity NFTs, governance participation, voting rights etc. are all good examples. After all , here is one thing that we should avoid: Stake more, get more, and let DEGEN to become another whale game. This industry already has enough this kind of games.
