Pudgy acquiring Frame to launch a new culture chain called Abstract with the goal of bringing the world onchain. Love the intention but at a certain point you gotta ask - what are the key differences and how many times have we heard this before? More and more I feel like we should focus @cooprecs efforts on being across every new "culture chain" that pops up since it seems everyone is deciding to compete against one another for chain adoption. Base is a culture chain. Zora is a culture chain. Degen is a culture chain. Camp is a culture chain. Linea is a culture chain. Gravity is a culture chain. World is a culture chain. Etc. etc. Am I the only one who feels this way? https://x.com/frame_xyz/status/1806790432724254846

99% of these culture chains go to 0. They aren’t solving a user problem as much as a narrative/signaling/ego/fundraising/grifting one.

Frame had a nice idea (use sequencer fees to incentivize creators) just as PGN had a nice idea (use sequencer fees to incentivize public goods). But ultimately it wont matter how good your idea is if you compromise UX for it. Dunno if pudgy has enough network effects to get it off the ground but lets see

IMO is just feels like Base is the truth, and that introducing more and more chains into the fold just contributes to the problem of widespread adoption being relatively unattainable. how tf are non-crypto-natives going to adapt to every new (and drastic) development in the space? it’s unrealistic

Every single project wants to copy/paste narratives that are working. How often do we see real innovative web3 projects? A lot are just copy/pasta of others that are more copy/pasta of others. So no surprise here 🫠

does it really matter how many L2/L3s are there if the end goal is seamless liquidity flow across all of them? personally i don't care, i'd use all of them but put it under the hood
